A Post!

A post! A post! Hot dang a post! What should I post about? I shall post about three of my favorite movie quotes:

1) My mother had not had a hot meal for herself in fifteen years.
2) It's been a very revealing ten seconds.
3) No, that will take me downtown!

Let's see if you can name the movies...I love this game. Classic newby blog trick for the infirm blog. Which leads me to one more of my favorite dialogues:

*"I don't need a museum, I need the infirm." "You are the infirm."

Homecoming

For those of you who may not have already heard, I am indeed back from my two-year exodus to the land known as Cincinnati, Ohio, and my homecoming talk will be at 9:00am on Sunday, June 22 (which is this very Sunday!) at the Valley View stake center. The address is 2245 E. 3900 S. and I can give you directions if you need them. I hear that there will be delicious breakfast items afterwards.

Do you know what's funny? I have about 48 hours left to prepare this talk, and I still don't know if I have a specific topic. I should remedy this tomorrow, shouldn't I.

Because It's Been Calling Your Name...

I don't know how it knows your name, specifically, but it's calling. Have you guys seen Gatsby's artwork? I happened upon it this morning as I was avoiding studying. You should check it out. It's pretty boss.

There's even new stuff on it since I checked it this morning!! Let us celebrate the better than Mediocre among us.

I love Disneyland. I know I'm a grown woman with a college degree, but when I'm on the good ship Mickeytown, I'm 5 again.

Sedaris is Hilari(ou)s

Listen to this short essay called "Adventures at Poo Corner." It makes me laugh until it hurts. Scroll down the page and click on the audio icon under "David Sedaris on This American Life." The sad thing is this is not a joke. My brother found a sock with a little "present" in one of the dressing rooms when he worked at the DI. Guffaw!

Blast from the Spooky Past

Do you remember watching those Twilight Zone episodes from the 80's? Someone has posted a bunch of them on YouTube. Most of them are pretty well written and actually scary. Here are some of my favorite episodes:

The Shadow Man

I of Newton

Check 'em out. They are worth watching.
