Dilemma
So I've just been offered a job at a music camp (in Michigan) for the second half of the summer. I applied mid-spring semester and they told me that they didn't have any more room for me. Which wasn't that big a deal. I was looking forward to having the second half of my summer free to do whatever I wanted. Only now I don't know what I want to do. It would be a really cool opportunity -- I'd be a counselor and possibly (have to send in an audition tape) playing in some of the ensembles there. Would look good on a resume.
The question is, do I want to give up my lazy summer for it?
I wouldn't have been having this conflict of interest if they had offered the job to me before summer started.

Lazy summers are over. How old are you? I mean to say, I wish I had something cool to do with music instead of cleaning rich peoples' houses. I mean, I love to learn to clean.
Band camp. I say go for it.
I am currently waiting to go on my trip and then afterwards I have a lazy summer...here's the issue...I have to drive up to school which is an hour and a half one way, sit in class for two hours, then drive an hour and a half back...the rest of my day is filled with nothing...laziness is over rated. I would rather be crazy busy than what I am now.
You say say Michigan? I say MichiCAN!
So you're all probably curious to hear how it turned out. Well, turns out that it won't work out for me because I'd have to miss the first week (because of finals in my summer classes) and I'm not allowed to do that since that's their orientation. I'd be really cool though. Oh well, they said that they'd keep my file so that I can apply again next summer if I want.
