Music strikes my fancy.

So this has to be, as the title says, the coolest music video ever. Imagine a spaghetti western meeting Stars Wars meeting a kung fu movie meeting Mad Max. It is that awesome. Plus Muse, the band, is freaking awesome. Tell me what y'all think. Or be jerks and don't. I don't really care. Okay, so I do.

Dilemma
Okay, so my grandma has given me $60 to go buy something for myself so she can give it to me at our family birthday party this Sunday. I have no idea what to get. Normally I'd get some clothes or something, but I really don't need that (or anything else) right now. And the only things I want are expensive, like a new horn or a car. What should I get?
Pity I can't buy a boyfriend. :D Though I do have a date this Saturday -- I'm excited.

No, Mr. Green, Communism is just a Red Herring. Like all members of the oldest profession I'm a Capitolist.

Speaking of 'Unmentionables'
In my Teaching HIstory class tonight we talked about low risk vs. high risk situtations for teenage kids. And then participated in a low-risk activity in which we wrote down our name and something that we wanted from a Sears and Roebuck catalog. Which could be anything because they have everything in there. For the longest time, the only think I could think of that started with 'L' was lingere. For the longest time I was extremely tempted to write that down on my card.
I decided that the risk was too great.

I close my eyes
and I smile
knowing that everything is all right,
to the core,
so close that door.
Is this happening?
My breath is on your hair.
I'm unaware that you open the blinds and let the city in.
You held my hand and we stand
just taking in everything.
I knew if from the start
so my arms are open wide.
Your head is on my stomach and we're
trying so hard not to fall asleep.
Here we are
on this 18th floor balcony we're both
flying away.
So we talk about mom's and dad's
about family past's.
just geting to know where we came from.
Our hearts
are on display
for all to see
I can't belive this is happening to me.
I raise my hand as if to show you that I was yours
that I was so yours for the taking,
I'm so yours for the taking.
That's when I felt the wind pick up
I grabbed the rail.
While choking up
these words to say
and then you kissed me.
I knew if from the start
my arms are open wide and
your head is on my stomach
and we're trying so hard
not to fall asleep.
Here we are on the
18th floor balcony we're both
flying away.
I'll try to sleep
to keep you in my dreams.
'Till I can bring you home with me
I try to sleep
and when I do I'll keep you in my dreams.
I knew it from the start
so my arms are open wide
and your head is on my stomach and we're
trying so hard not to fall asleep.
So here we are
on this 18th floor balcony.
I knew it from the start
so my arms are open wide
and your head is on my stomach.
No, we're not going to sleep.
Here we are on this 18th floor balcony
we're both
flying away.

In the interest of actual human-style music
You all need to give this mp3 a listen. I hereby promise that it will twinkle your toes, dash your dapper dan man mullet and hit your hiccups in the head. You'll like it.
(Perhaps best enjoyed by comparison...have a hear of the original...
(Also now would be a good time to throw out our favorite covers. This is a good example. I also love Alannis Morrissette's "King of Pain." That is all)
